Evening visit with talks from the Heritage Collections team

Join a unique event this March and explore the Palace of Westminster by night. For one night only this self-guided exploration of UK Parliament, opens to the public. Talks delivered by experts in Historic Furniture and Decorative Arts (in the Heritage Collections team) will help inform and guide you through famous spaces at your own leisure.

The series of timed talks will give you a fascinating insight into various objects (some of which are rarely seen by the public) associated with Commonwealth countries across the world. You’ll hear their hidden stories and learn about their materials and making. Each object carries a significance to the refurnishing of the Houses of Parliament after it was bombed in 1941, so there’s lots to uncover about the history of Parliament too!
